Volkswagen AG (VAG) has been in existence for more than 80 years. It is younger than its competitors, but thanks to good organization, it has achieved leadership in the vehicle industry. History has confirmed the name of the brand “People's Car.” This German concern is one of the three largest automobile makers in the world and had been being in first place in sales for five years in a row. VW are considered reliable German cars and have a huge number of fans around the world. Popular Passat, Polo, and Golf models have been being produced in several generations for decades already. Today, VAG is not only Volkswagen. A very impressive portfolio of brands controlled by the VAG Group: Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, Ducati, SEAT, Navistar, Skoda, MAN, Audi, Scania, Bugatti, and others. VW has its own motorsport team, which has repeatedly won the WRC and Dakar Rally competitions. Currently, the company uses the slogan “Driven by Innovation, Powered by Nature,” which speaks of the environmental friendliness of its future vehicles. VAG announced a new strategy for its development, according to which it plans to have a single platform of electric batteries and software for vehicles of all brands of the concern. Large-scale investments include the construction of six battery factories in Europe. The concern's head office is based in Wolfsburg.
