A drivetrain is a system of transmission devices for transmitting torque from the engine to the drive wheels of a vehicle. The transmission system includes: gearbox, driveshafts, transfer case, axle shafts, differential, semi axis, and constant-velocity joints. The layout of the drivetrain system varies depending on which axle is the drive: the front, rear, or all axles of the vehicle. The gearbox comes in manual or automatic.
