SCANIA

Swedish Scania AB (JSC) was born at the end of the century before last, when two separate companies were established. They merged in 1911 under the name Scania-Vabis, placing an image of a griffin in a crown on their emblem. The red griffin still adorns the hoods of tractor units, reminding everyone around about the truck producer's slogan "King of the Road". Indeed, high-quality products are produced under this trademark; it is not for nothing that Scania is one of the Big European Seven trucks makers. The company is now owned by the VW Group and successfully develops the line of all-electric trucks. At the same time, it is one of the few makers of electric trucks that applies battery cells of its own production. Scania has won the International Truck of the Year contest five times.
