Body car parts for Volvo trucks
The elements of the car body are the details of the car’s construction and usually have a large volume and a complex shape. This creates additional difficulties during packaging and transportation. Body parts are made by stamping from steel sheets. The thickness of the metal is only a few millimeters, so these elements are easy to damage. The absence of cosmetic defects on the exterior panels of the car is an important condition that affects the appearance of the vehicle. The exception is power bearing elements, such as spars, thresholds, and the bottom. They are installed using electric welding and then covered with several layers of anticorrosive materials. Body parts can be divided into four groups: the first group consists of external panels: roof, hood cover, trunk lid, doors and fenders. The second group consists of load-bearing elements: bottom, thresholds, struts, spars, amplifiers. The third group consists of plastic elements, bumpers, spoilers and linings. The fourth group includes small-sized parts such as door handles, locks, brackets and more. All these parts can be either painted and ready to be installed on the car, or not painted, requiring subsequent processing. Painted elements require special packaging and more careful transportation. Unpainted parts can be covered with a gray or black shipping primer, which must be removed during the preparation of the part for painting. More
