A clutch is an element of a vehicle transmission that transmits engine torque and is destined to connect or disconnect the engine from the gearbox. Moreover, it makes it possible to move away smoothly. Automotive clutches with automatic gearboxes and manual gearboxes are structurally different, and a motorcycle clutch is different from an automotive clutch. But the principle of their operation is the same: the clutch temporally disconnects the motor crankshaft from the vehicle drivetrain to switch gears in the gearbox, as well as when braking until the full stop of the vehicle. The main parts of a classic car clutch with a gearbox manual are the flywheel, basket, driven disc, and release bearing. The driven disk has friction linings that wear out during exploitation. Wear of the driven disc and basket is the main cause of car clutch failure. In vehicles with automatic transmissions, the clutch function is performed by friction discs that operate in an oil bath. More
